Managed Reserve Katsoburi Managed Reserve - Abasha

Established in 1996
The Katsuburi Managed Reserve was established in 1996 and its total area is 295 hectares. It is located in the south western part of Abasha municipality, 300 km from Tbilisi. The reservoir area is mainly Vela - its maximum height is 40 meters above sea level. There are mostly alluvial clay-shins here and there are small areas of humid tailnar-silenary soils. River Rioni flows into the territory of Katsoburi Managed Reserve.
